R.G.C.C. Scholarship Announcement
R.G. de Castro colleges, Inc. Is pleased to announce that it has awarded scholarships to seven (7) academically outstanding students today, September 9, 2021.
Awarded the scholarships were: freshmen Mr. Jan Lorenz G. Grieta, Mr. Selwyn G. Montalban, and Ms. Ram-C E. Esteller, and seniors Ms. Rose-Ann G. Balaguer, Ms. Roselyn Joy G. Gunao, Ms. Joy N. Listana, and Ms. Joyce F. Padernos.
The three (3) scholarships for freshmen were each extended by Retired Supreme Court Justice Francis H. Jardeleza, United Coconut Planters Life Assurance Corporation, and Cocogen Insurance, Inc., respectively, while the four (4) scholarships for seniors were extended by Retired Court of Appeals Justice Romeo F. Barza.
The three (3) freshmen awardees topped the Qualifying Examinations administered by the school last August 31 where 121 out of 144 freshmen who were certified "With Honors" by their respective Senior High Schools participated.
On the other hand, the four (4) senior awardees were chosen for their academic performance during their junior year.
The scholarships awarded cover the scholar's full-tuition fee for direct cost of instruction, training, and other related activities and for the scholars' use of the school's instruction and training facilities as well as all other fees that RGCC is authorized and allowed by CHED to collect from its students for other necessary costs supportive of instruction, including, but not limited to medical and dental, athletic, NSTP, Library and Laboratory fees.
As the scholarships were
extended primarily as motivation or incentive for academic excellence, personal
development and moral integrity, however, the
scholars, have to maintain a cumulative average of at least 89% every semester
and not have a grade below 80% in any course or subject. They must also exhibit a sincere desire and
determination to succeed and learn, practice good manners and right conduct,
and observe and obey all rules and regulations of RGCC and duly-constituted
authorities. Failing any of those
conditions, their remaining scholarship shall be awarded to their
more-deserving classmates as determined by the school's Scholarship Oversight
Committee.

PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
RGCC believes that education is a means of helping students prepare
for a life of involvement and service. It subscribes to the spiritual and ethical
values of the Christian tradition, to a belief in God, and to the dignity and worth
of each individual. RGCC considers character, integrity, self-respect, and
concern for others to be of central importance.
PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES
RGCC seeks to prepare students for future efficiency, security and
happiness. It believes that the student must be encouraged to develop his
full potential; it seeks to cultivate aesthetic tastes and accomplishments.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
1. Registration in the College is considered an expression of willingness
to collaborate with the administration, the faculty and the student
body in the pursuit of college purposes and objectives.
2. The administration reserves the right to dismiss at any time, after due
process, any student who fails to give satisfactory evidence of
earnestness of purpose and active cooperation in all the requirements
of conduct and academic work.
3. Recognition of rights of others characterizes a mature person. The
students manifest this concern for others by adult behavior in the
classrooms, the corridors, the library and the rest of the campus.
4. All students must wear college uniform according to the pattern
prescribed from time to time.
5. RGCC has always considered extra-curricular and co-curricular
activities essential to the balanced formation and development of the
student as a member of the school community. These activities,
however, are meant to supplement studies, not to interfere with them.
Therefore, each student should participate in one or several activities
to the extent that his scholastic standing will allow.
6. Students, as individuals or groups, may not use that name and/or the
seal of the school without authorization from the President. This
applies to letters of solicitation, printed programs, invitations,
announcements, tickets and similar materials, among other things. (READ MORE)
